The New Huangpu River Both Banks

Originating from the Dianshan Lake, the Huangpu River is several hundreds of kilometers long and winds its way through Shanghai. As Shanghai's soul, it is named "Shanghai's Mother River".
1. Power Station of Art is a first symbolic city public cultural activities center on China's mainland, integrating contemporary art show, collection, research, exchange and experimental education. With a floor space of 41,000 sqm, it boasts functional faciltities including showrooms, which are suitable for various kinds of displays, library, research rooms, lecture rooms and provides good conditions for art exchange between Chinese and overseas artists.

It was originally Nanshi Power Station with a 165 meters in height reinforced concrete chimney, straight and towering.

Located in the former China Pavilion of Shanghai 2010 World Expo, China Art Museum, Shanghai covers an area of 64,000 sqm and consists of 27 showrooms, combining collection, academic research, show and display, education and exchange into one entitiy, and showcasing the origin and development of China's contemporary and modern art.
